Using your laptop camera
DENOIR connects directly to your built-in laptop webcam through the browser. MacBook, Windows laptop, and Chromebook cameras are all supported. When you open the booth, your browser will ask for camera permission. Once granted, the live preview appears immediately. The booth adapts to your camera's native resolution and aspect ratio for the best possible output.
External camera support
If you have a USB webcam connected to your computer, DENOIR can use it. Cameras from Logitech, Razer, Elgato, and other manufacturers work through the standard WebRTC interface. If multiple cameras are connected, you can switch between them using the camera toggle inside the booth. External cameras often produce sharper results than built-in laptop webcams.
Tips for better webcam photos
Position yourself at arm's length from the camera for a natural framing. Make sure your face is well-lit from the front. Natural window light works best. Avoid strong backlighting, which can make your face appear dark. Clean your camera lens if the image looks soft. Use the countdown timer to give yourself time to pose after clicking the shutter button.
